每年, 较低的学校 families are invited to present their heritage and culture presentations with their daughter’s homeroom. Though the topics vary, the focus is always on building 意识. During Cultural Night, family members are invited to contribute their expertise and insights.

Class VII and Class VIII students with a deep appreciation for 科学 have an opportunity to delve into their interests by participating in a research trip to Costa Rica. Accompanied on their travels by 科学 faculty, students research native flora and fauna and compile notes for a field guide, which will help future Nightingale travelers. Past scientific explorations leave students feeling much like the Poas volcano they visited: erupting with joy and determined to learn more about the world.

在曼哈顿儿童中心, Class V students venture beyond the blue doors to work alongside children with autism and other special needs and build communication and socialization skills while establishing friendships. Nightingale students bring support and joy to their new buddies as they build empathy, 同情, and respect for children who learn differently. 每年, Class V students contribute to raising 意识 about autism.
